IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Zelica
Martucci
February 20, 1957 – August 14, 2024
Zelica Rosa Josefina Oderiz de Martucci died unexpectedly in Tampa, FL, on August 14, 2024, at the age of 67.
Zelica is survived by her daughter, Luana Martucci de Palomá; her son-in-law, Alexander Palomá; her granddaughters, Sasha Palomá and Lorena Palomá of Seffner, FL; her sisters, Estela Oderiz, Sonia Oderiz de Russo, Claudia Oderiz, and Veronica Oderiz of Argentina; and her brothers, Hector Oderiz and Javier Oderiz of Tampa, FL, and Adrian Oderiz of Argentina. She is predeceased by her son, Lawrence A. Martucci, and her sister, Adriana Oderiz.
Zelica was born in Gualeguay, Argentina, on February 20,1957, to Hector and Teresa Oderiz. She graduated high school from Comercial 7, Buenos Aires, Argentina. She married Felipe J. Martucci in 1976 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Zelica left her family of 11 to bravely move to Tampa, FL, in 1978, while seven months pregnant with her first child. Without knowing the language and with very little means, she managed to acquire a supervisor position at the Lighthouse for the Blind while also working as a cashier at La Teresita. It didn't take her long to realize that she was destined to be her husband's right hand and devoted partner in all their new business endeavors and adventures. Collectively, they ventured into this new world and made a life for themselves. She opened several businesses, including European Body Shop, Auto Exchange, Florida State Financial Group, and held several real estate holdings.
Zelica was a fearless, passionate, generous, and loyal mother, nona, and friend. She loved her girls with all her heart and was blessed to have been a part of their lives from the very beginning. She never missed a grandparent's day, a sporting event, or a recital. She was their biggest fan. Nothing made her happier than feeding her grandchildren and having a meal together with her family. She loved to dance and never missed a party. She had a smile as bright as the sun. Her laugh was contagious and could be heard from any room. Her daughter has been fortunate enough to inherit her contagious laugh. Her love, hope, and passion knew no boundaries.
