Zdenek Podaril passed away July 11th, 2024, in Sarasota, Fl. This was due to a fall at work that then led to a traumatic brain injury which ultimately caused his third heart attack.

Zdenek was born in Hodinin, Czech Republic on June 16, 1963. His family moved to the United States in April of 1977 to escape communism and he was proud to become a naturalized citizen. He was a very proud American and would gladly share that love of country with you.

He enjoyed photography, especially nature shots. He loved riding his motorcycle and was an avid traveler. He loved sharing new experiences with his friends. He worked in trucking most of his adult life and cherished his daily conversations with his best friend Michael Aprim. Since both of them drove daily, they loved to reminisce about their glory days and talk about current events. Michael was Zdenek's oldest friend, and he valued that friendship dearly.

Zdenek is survived by his wife Dawn Seibert-Podaril, his children Lexi Podaril and Zach Podaril, and his beloved dog Maisy. As well as his sister Millie Aprim(Chuck), his nephews Chris Aprim(Tegan), Matt Aprim(Patrick) and his niece Faith Aprim. He was preceded in death by his father Vladimir Podaril and his mother Anastazie Podaril.

At his request, Zdenek is being cremated and there will be no viewing. We plan to hold a Celebration of Life service later in the year to coordinate friends coming down to attend. In lieu of flowers we are asking that if want to do something for the family, please donate to the American Heart Association in memory of Zdenek.
