Brickey, Yvonne, 91, passed away after a short illness on July 8, 2011. Yvonne moved to Brandon from VA four years ago. She was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Appalachia in VA and of The River at Tampa Bay in Tampa. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to cook and work on crafts. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brickey; parents, Lawrence and Eula Wells; daughter, Teresa True; and granddaughter, Tracie True. Yvonne is survived by her loving family, son, Steven Brickey and his wife Olivia of Hampton, VA; daughter, Dr. Robbie Brickey Mayfield of Brandon, FL; son-in-law, Daniel True of NC; sisters, Lawrencie Poole and Ruth Kallas; grandchildren, Mika Mayfield, Hope Brickey McCarty, Mandy Brickey and Marty True; and great-grandchildren, Joshua True and Lilly McCarty.

In Virginia there will be a visitation on Friday, July 15, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Holding Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home.

In Florida there will be a memorial service on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 7:30 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home.

Yvonne will be laid to rest in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap, VA.
