Wilma Enid Bruce, 86 years of age, passed in peace on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, with her daughter, Pamela Bruce, by her side in Riverview, Florida.

Wilma E. Bruce was born in San Fernando, in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, on June 27, 1936.

Wilma was married to Abraham J. Bruce on May 19, 1960, for 53 years. Wilma worked as a seamstress. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, singing, and dancing. She loved to work and gave to several Catholic charities.

Wilma is survived by her 4 daughters, Charmaine Bruce, Allieson Woolcock, Sherba Bruce-Sorondo, and Pamela Bruce, 4 grandsons Curtis Monroe III, Bruce Monroe, Derrick Wellington II, and Abraham J. S. Bruce, 2 granddaughters, Donica Truitt, and Sidney Woolcock, 4 great-grandsons, Damien Wellington, Christian Wellington, Demitrius Wellington, and Derrick Wellington III, 2 great-grandsons, Jude Truitt, and Joshua Woolcock, 2 great-granddaughters, Journey Bruce, and Destiny Bruce, as well as, countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Monroe and Laddie Jackson, and her husband, Abraham Bruce. Wilma leaves 4 sisters, Merle Bruce, Joyce Nicholas, Yvonne Huggins, and Lorna Blades, 2 brothers, Steve Jackson and Clyde Jackson, and 1 brother-law Sterling Bruce.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023, at 6:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, Funeral Home & Crematory. Pastor
Rance Simon will be officiating. The visitation will be held at 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
