Tengelsen, William, 92, passed away on November 8, 2015. William moved to the Brandon area from Staten Island, NY. He proudly served in the US Army during WW II as a combat engineer with the 291st Company C and earned 5 battle stars. He also served as a deacon and trustee with the El-Bethel Assembly of God on Staten Island. William was very proud of many of his architectural draftsman accomplishments during his 35 years with Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill, including the Lever House, the One Chase Plaza, and 2 churches on Staten Island. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Gail Semler. William is survived by his loving family, wife of 62 years, Lillian Tengelsen; children, Elaine Tengelsen, and Billy (Cheryl) Tengelsen; sister, Eleanor Bishop; grandchildren, Alyssa Gail, Dalton, David, Kevin (Amy), Kacey, and Erin; and great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Theodore, and Katherine Gail. There will be a visitation on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park. The funeral service for William will be on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 10:00 am at Serenity Meadows.
