Stanford, William, "Bill", 71 of Brandon, went to be with the Lord November 2, 2015 after fighting a 2 year battle with ALS. He was born on May 2, 1944 to parents, Ewell Otis and Jean Anderson Stanford in Tampa. He is predeceased by his parents and brother, Richard Stanford, of Green Cove Springs, FL. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Pamela; son, Robert (Kari); step-daughter, Danna Scott; sister, Jean Carr (Aaron) Smith; and brother, Charles (Debbie) Stanford. Bill proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He worked 47 years in the steel industry, starting at Florida Steel and retired from Tampa Bay Steel. A church service to honor his life will take place 10:00am, Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the 1st Baptist of Brandon Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
