William "Bill" Carl Slocum, 75, of Brandon, FL., passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Consulate Heath Care of Brandon.  Born on February 6, 1944 in Hartford, CT to the proud parents of Carl W. & Gertrude (Brown) Slocum, Bill was a former furniture maker.  He moved to the area with his family in 1945, coming from Hartford, CT and he was a Protestant.  Survivors include his son, David (Ginger) Slocum of Brandon, FL; his two sisters: Gladys McPeak of Thonotosassa, FL & Sharon Leverett of Mango, FL; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will take place at 11:00AM on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, Riverview, FL with the family receiving friends one hour prior to service from 10:00-11:00AM.  Burial will take place at Seffner Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bills' honor to LifePath Hospice @ www.chaptershealth.org.
