Roberts, William "Bill", 77, went to be with the Lord in the early hours of August 19, 2011 after a battle with ALS. A native of Tampa, Bill was a Christian, a husband, a family man, a semiprofessional beekeeper and a retired District Chief for the City of Tampa Fire Department. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Fay, a son, "Pug", four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and his sister, Mary Dixon. A visitation will be held at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview, Friday, August 26, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, August 27, 2011at 11:00 a.m. at Matthews Cemetery near the 600 block on S.
