William Rentafortis, age 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 2, 2026 in Riverview, Florida.

As a proud military veteran of the U.S. Army, William served his country with honor and integrity.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, of 71 years of marriage, his three children, Maria (Richard) of Chipley, FL, William (Serina) of Bonifay, FL, Evelyn (Pedro) of Riverview, FL. And beloved 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 3 sisters – Cruz Maria, Sor Maria Genoveva, a Carmelite Nun "Julie" and Virgen.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish, may make a memorial donation to the “Monasterio Carmelita de San Jose, RR 2 Box 135, San Juan, Puerto Rico 00926-9707. This monastery was strongly supported by William and his family. It is one of the oldest cloistered convents in the New World and the first of Carmelite Nuns of the Primitive Observance on the entire continent.
