McDowell, William George, 82, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 18, 2016. Bill was born on May 1, 1933 in Hawk Run, PA. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Troy McDowell and Anna Hughes McDowell; and his siblings, Jackie McDowell, Twila Vaughn, and Gertrude Kirby. He is survived by his wife, Alicia Diaz McDowell; son, Sean William McDowell; daughters, Mary Anne Slater, and Tara McDowell Cummings; son-in-law, Jason Stephen Slater; and 6 grandchildren, Jillian Slater, Tyler Cummings, Briana Cummings, Riley Cummings, Kady Karppinen, and Brodie Chapel. He was anxiously awaiting the birth of his 7th granddaughter, Sarah Slater. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and his sister-in-law, Cynthia Waller. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, followed by a service at 11:00 am.
