Obituary

Chase, Willet "Will" "Peewee", 66, of Riverview, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012, in Brandon. Born August 6, 1946, he grew up in Wimauma. He graduated from East Bay High School in 1965, where he had been active in starting the school's OJT program. He joined the Air Force after graduation and was stationed in the Philippines. After being honorably discharged, he worked various jobs until starting a snack distributorship company in Jackson, Mississippi. In 1978, he sold the distributorship to return to the Tampa Bay area and start a delivery company which later became All Shippers, Inc. Will also earned recognition for his fundraising efforts with both the Jackson and Tampa Jaycees from 1974 to 1988. He was a member of the Republican Presidential Task Force, and contracted with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to manage Gameday program sales for several years. The son of the late Donald Manly Chase of Roso, MN and Muriel Marie Hester of Sparks, GA, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Donna Westbrook of Riverview. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Chase; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Don Chase and Jung "Janie" Kim, Riverview, and Craig Chase, Santa Monica, CA; his sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and Larry Forister; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 19, 6-8PM at Serenity Meadows. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, October 20, 10AM at Fishhawk Fellowship. Active casket bearers will be Don and Craig Chase, Bob Hester, Bob Kennedy, Gary Montgomery, and Junior Wilkerson. Honorary casket bearers will be Larry Forister, Don Overton and Ron Womble. Interment will follow at Hurrah Cemetery, Alafia Baptist Church.
