Whitfield Decourcy Jordan, 66, of Gibsonton, passed away Friday, July 24, 2009. Born in Barbados, he was a Gibsonton resident for the last four years moving here from Port Charlotte. Mr. Jordan retired from the New York State educational system where he worked as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed gardening and playing dominos. Survivors include his loving wife, Hazel, sons; Christopher, Clint, Paul, daughter; Maxine, sisters; Doreen Gordon, Marjorie Allyne and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 1:00p.m.
