Wayne Enfinger, 79 of Brandon passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, surrounded by family. Born in Tallahassee, Florida August 10, 1938 to Nathan T. Enfinger and Mary Francis Ward, Wayne was one of five children and a fifth generation Floridian. He and his family later moved to Largo, and after graduating Largo High School in 1956, he joined the U.S. Air Force, serving in Radio Operations. He served in both Japan and Germany until 1960.
Wayne spent most of his working career in the electronics industry. He owned an electronics store in Lakeland, and later operated a successful independent sales rep company until his retirement in 1998.
Wayne was an avid fisherman and hunter all his life, and enjoyed time outdoors as often as he could. Wayne also liked to garden, planting flowers, fruits and vegetables around his yard.
Wayne was predeceased by his devoted wife of 42 years, Edwina Enfinger. He is survived by two of his loving siblings Julian Enfinger (Barbara) and Judy Gillmore of Palm Harbor, his children Bonnie Brown (Bill), Pendleton Brown (Janee), Nancy Brown (David), Robin Brown, Susan Stephen (Peter), Abbie Bunn (Nipper), Jill Egger (Garth), and Ashley Enfinger (Selena); his grandchildren, Alisson, Christina,
Matthew, Hawkan, Eliakim, Asaph, Hosanna, Chelsea, Caleb, Cameron and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Solomon, Elianah, Wesley, Aurora, Maximus, Kaj and Egil, and Aspen. Wayne also leaves behind many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 20th at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Riverview. Visitation with the family at 10:00 am and service at 11:00. A lunch reception will be held in the fellowship hall of Calvary Chapel Brandon, located at 1331 Kingsway Road.Saturday
