Vivian Megronigle's Story
1939 – 2024
Vivian Walker Megronigle, born on July 18, 1939, near Tifton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home in Ruskin, Florida, on December 28, 2024, at the age of 85.
Vivian graduated from high school in Hardee County, Florida, and pursued higher education with a steadfast dedication to learning. She attended Florida College in Temple Terrace, the University of Tampa in Tampa, and Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, where she earned a master's degree in elementary education. Her passion for education and teaching left an enduring impact on her students and those who knew her.
A devoted member of the East Bay church of Christ in Wimauma, Florida, Vivian's faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by her children Karen (Rodney) Sanchez, David Megronigle, and Michael Megronigle; her grandchildren Andrew (Victoria) Megronigle, Allison Megronigle, Michael Sevigny, and Shelby (Cameron) Baxley; and her siblings Joseph (Cindy) Walker, Ron (Kim) Walker, Mona (Bill) Crean and Naomi (Randy) Clanton. She also leaves behind an extended family and many treasured friends.
Vivian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard W. Megronigle; her parents, Hendricks and Versie Smith Walker; and her siblings Elaine Walker, Dale Walker, Margaret Anderson, Darrell Walker, and Don Walker.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows in Riverview, Florida. A graveside service will follow immediately at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park.
Vivian's legacy of love, faith, and dedication to education will continue to inspire all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
