Moody, Violet, 99, passed away on February 1, 2017. Violet was a lifelong resident of the Tampa area. She worked as the recreation director of the Gary Section of Tampa and was respected by the kids in the area. She was a spirited woman who enjoyed working in her yard. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rosalia and Lisardo Buria; and husband, Rufus Moody. Violet is survived by her loving family, daughter, Phyllis (Phillip); grandsons, Kevin (Allison) and Kirk (Kelly); and great-granddaughter, Marissa. There will be a graveside service on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 11:00 am at Bloomingdale Cemetery in Valrico.
