Vinton Francisco Duffus Lopez of Tampa, Florida peacefully passed on November 28, 2023 in hospice. Vinton was born on April 9, 1934 in Kingston, Jamaica. Vinton migrated to the United States in 1971, resided in Bronx, New York and Melbourne, FL, before moving to Tampa FL, in 2020. Vinton was humble, worked hard and had unmatched work ethics. He was kind, funny, insightful, and often said his children are his greatest accomplishments. He loved football/soccer and was a jazz aficionado with an impressive knowledge of jazz music. He is preceded in death by his parents Vivian and Iris Lopez, sister Vivien,  brothers Frankie, Alvin, Vivian Lopez Jr and niece Beverly. Vinton, affectionately called Papa, is survived by his children Carol, Vivia (Donnie), Patrick, Ava, Junior, Debbie, Stephanie, Jacqueline, Orlando, Deborah, step children Tujuana, Mark and Richmond (Xiomara), 30 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 niece, cousins, partner Judy Jackson, dear family friends, Faye Hamilton, Billy and Vivienne Rainford, and many other dear life-long friends.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 16th, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6019 Providence Rd, Riverview FL 33578. The Interment of his ashes will be in Kingston, Jamaica 2024.
