Vijendra Kumar Sahgal died peacefully on July 18, 2024 in Tampa, Florida at the age of 79.

Vijendra Sahgal was born on February 5, 1945 in Hyderabad, India to Bansi Lal and Mangla Devi Sahgal. He was one of thirteen children. He graduated from Osmania University in 1967 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He completed his master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern Mississippi.

He married Dr. Geeta Dewan on January 31, 1974. After several moves, they settled in Florida with their children in 1983.  Vijendra Sahgal is survived by his wife, Geeta Sahgal; his children, Anita Sahgal-Patel and Alok Sahgal; his son-in-law Pankaj Patel; His daughter-in-law Shaila Bansal; his grand-daughters Maya and Arya Patel.

A funeral is scheduled for Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Riverview, Florida.
