Virginia Marie Hansen Snell 95, rejoined her beloved husband Donald I Snell on November 8, 2009. Born in Denver, Colorado on November 25, 1913, Virginia was a long time resident of Rochester, New York, where she was proud to say that she was a member of the staff of the original Wegman's grocery store. While in Rochester, she was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, and a 25 year employee of Taylor Instruments. She moved to Brandon, FL in 1988, and had been a resident at the Hawthorne Health and Rehab Center since 1999. Her husband, Donald I Snell, her parents, Carl and Mable Hansen, sister Margaret Hansen Walason, brother Walter Hansen, niece Melanie Hansen and son-in-law Frank Schill predeceased her. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Jean Schill of Rochester, New York, and Judy and David Valleri of Brandon, FL; grandchildren Kristine Schill (Paul) Zappetella, Erik Schill, Brandon Valleri, and Bridget Valleri (Jeremy)Kidd; and great- grandchildren Tyler, Amber, Jade, Kyle and Bradley. Virginia's family acknowledges and thanks LifePath Hospice Silver Team, Continuous Care, and the entire staff of Hawthorne Health and Rehab Center for their loving care and devotion to Virginia. A memorial service will be held at Hawthorne Health and Rehab Center at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, November 25, 2009. Burial will be in Rochester, NY.
