Ulakovits, Valentine Jr., 85, born in Tampa on February 8, 1927, died on October 26, 2012. He is preceded in death by his children, Belinda Empsall, Charleen Mabry, Michael Ulakovits and Shelia Creel; and brothers, Morton, John and Kelvin Ulakovits. Valentine is survived by his loving family, wife, of 66 years, Alma Ulakovits; children, Elaine Payne (Bill), Cathy Aldridge and Valeria Lauther (Bill); sisters, Mary Morey, and Wilma Smith; 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He served in the US Marine Corps and was a WWII veteran who received the Purple Heart and a Presidential Citation. Valentine retired from Tampa Shipyard. There will be a visitation on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. The funeral service for Valentine will be on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
