Thomas Santarlas slipped into the next journey of his life on January 16, 2017. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 25, 1938 to Eugene & Mafalda Santarlas. He is survived by Rosalie, his loving and caring wife of 55 years; Three sons, Thomas Santarlas, Jr. (Kimberly), Robert Santarlas, Paul Santarlas (Teresa); his brother John Santarlas; and grandchildren Katie, Christopher, Rachel, Nicholas, Joseph & Jacob who were the sunshine of his life. He was an adoring and loving husband, father & grandfather. He was also a beloved brother in-law to Frank and Ginger Sposaro and an uncle to many nephews, nieces, grandnieces & grandnephews. Family was always his number one priority and he was blessed with many lifelong and caring friends. Thomas Santarlas graduated from Southeast Catholic High School in 1956, joined the USAF where he served for 4-years and was Honorably Discharged in 1960. He was employed by the Whirlpool Corporation in 1960 and worked his way up to the position of Executive Vice President of Whirlpool Financial, retiring in 1993 after 33-years of service. He then settled in the Tampa Bay, FL area and enjoyed retirement, playing golf and enjoying vacations on Lido Beach with his family. Services will be held at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Rd, Riverview, FL 33578. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 22nd from 4 PM to 6 PM. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held on Monday, January 23rd at 10 AM.
