IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas James
Mcguigan
May 24, 1956 – January 27, 2025
Thomas McGuigan, 68, of Riverview, Florida, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born in the Bronx, NY, on May 24, 1956, Thomas graduated from Howell High School in 1974. He met the love of his life, Ann Marie, in September 1976 at the Meadowlands, and they married on August 19, 1984. Their bond only grew stronger over the years. The couple resided in Howell, NJ, before moving to Florida 20 years ago.
Thomas is survived by his devoted wife, Ann Marie (née Pinto), and their three beloved children: Suzanne Mistry (Dave), Eileen Pistolese (Nicholas), and Michael McGuigan (Samantha). He was the PROUD grandfather to six grandchildren: Gianna, Isabella, Gabriella, Giuliana, Declan, and Stella, who brought him immense joy and happiness.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael McGuigan, and is survived by his loving mother, MaryJane McGuigan. Thomas was a caring brother to Jennifer Gilliam (Doug), Garry McGuigan, MaryJane Costello (Eddie), and Michael McGuigan (Pamela), his brother in law James Pinto (Elisa) as well as a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
For 29 years he worked at the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, NJ before moving to Florida, where he continued to work at TPC Tampa and the Hard Rock Seminole Casino until his retirement.
However, he found his greatest joy in retirement as "Pop's Daycare and Taxi Service." He was always ready to lend a helping hand and shower his grandchildren with love and attention. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Thomas will be remembered for his warm smile, kind heart, and the love he shared with those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of family, love, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends—deeply missed and never forgotten.
