Theodore F. Crowder, 89, of Riverview, Florida passed away at the Togas VA Hospital in Augusta, Maine on Wednesday August 24, 2011. Ted was a Master Sergeant in the Army and he proudly served our Country from 1940-1966. He was the recipient of 2 Bronze Stars, 1 Silver Star and 2 Purple Hearts along with many other commendations and pins. He was a member of the VFW Post 8108 of Riverview, FL and enjoyed taking his family there on Friday nights for dinner. Ted loved God and his family as much as he did his country. He was a member of Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Riverview, FL. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Darlene Cleminson of Brandon, FL, and Mary Matthews of Seffner, FL, along with his two step sons, Kim Leonard of Oxford, MS and Shaun Leonard of Lakeland, FL. He also leaves behind a life full of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed. A Memorial Service will be held at Serenity Meadows at 6:00 pm on September 8, 2011.
