Terry Monroe Smith, 73, of Brandon, FL, passed away on June 30, 2025. He was born on October 21, 1951 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Warren Smith and Olivia Byers Smith.
Terry was raised in Reading, PA and graduated from Wilson High School of Wyomissing, PA, class of 1970 and then attended Penn State University. After graduating high school, Terry joined the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam War and served his country for four years. While he was stationed in New Bedford, MA, Terry met and married his loving wife, Sharon D. Allain. They married on July 28, 1973 and spent 52 wonderful years together. They had two children Calene and Bradley.

Terry was a successful businessman and earned several awards and recognitions while in the jewelry industry. He worked his way up to Vice-President of Gordon Jewelers and later, Zale Corporation. He ended his career as Store Director of Mayors Jewelers in Tampa, FL.

When he wasn't working, Terry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends on cruises, boating, fishing and skiing. Outside of work he was a talented craftsman having built many pieces of fine furniture that still adorn his home. He was especially proud of his landscaping projects including his Koi pond. He and Sharon looked forward to spending time at their condo in NH hosting many family members and friends. He was happiest with a fishing pole in his hand or his dogs Max and Mindy snuggled asleep on his lap.

Terry is survived by his wife, Sharon, his children, Calene N. (Adam) Hernandez, and Bradley A. (Maria) Smith, grandchildren, Caitlyn N and Ethan L. Hernandez.

There will be a Memorial Service held for Terry at 10:30 am on July 11, 2025 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. Guests are welcome to attend at 10:00 am for a brief gathering before the service. There will be a private graveside service at Florida National Cemetery to follow.
