Doolin, Terry W.L., 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on August 20, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia, son Todd (Amy), daughter Heather Whitehead, mother Berta Stark, sister Mary Jacobs (Bo), and grandchildren Timothy and Megg Doolin, Ryan and Connor Doolin, and Caleb, Avery and Abbi Whitehead. He is preceded in death by his son, Timothy Shawn Doolin and stepfather, Charles Stark. Terry raised his family in Memphis, Tn and retired in Tampa, Fl. He built his life serving others. After service to his country in the Air Force, Terry joined Delta Airlines, retiring after 30 years of dedicated work. He received the Delta Airlines Customer Service Award, their highest honor. For his service to the Memphis community, Terry was also the recipient of the highest honor bestowed on a citizen - The Award of Merit and a Key to the City by Mayor Richard Hackett. He served as Chairman - System Wide Council for Memphis City Schools, and was a graduate of the 1984 Class of Leadership Memphis. He was also twice nominated as Volunteer of the Year for the City of Memphis. Terry was a member of the Elks (Brandon, FL) serving in leadership capacities. His passions were being a great dad, friend, and husband, as well as a servant to the community. Service and burial will be held on August 25, 2015 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
