Teresa (Teri) passed away on June 26th, 2025, surrounded by her
entire family.
Teresa (Teri) was born in Columbus, Ohio to Richard and Virginia
Luft on March 27th, 1958. She went to Brookhaven High School in
Columbus, Ohio. She married Michael (Mike) Beebe on August
20th,1977 in Columbus Ohio. Michael and Teresa moved to Florida in
1982 and have resided in Riverview, Florida since 1992. They have
four daughters, Kathryn (Katie), Margaret (Maggie), Sarah and
Jennifer. She worked at Walt Disney World for over 20 years and
retired in 2021.
Teresa loved cooking/baking, sewing, quilting, playing board games,
and enjoying family time. Cooking/baking was her favorite thing to
do for the family from Sunday dinners to elaborate holiday meals
and even baking sugar cookies for the grandkids to come over and
decorate brought her so much joy. She also enjoyed family vacations
to Disney World, Lake Cumberland, Kentucky, and Ohio just to name
a few. Teresa was a huge Ohio state football and basketball fan and
loved playing the marching band as loud as she could on Saturday
mornings. My mom's love for her husband Michael and her children
is the kind of love you only read about in a storybook. She was so
proud of her grandchildren and would travel anywhere to see the
six of them. Her love for her family is unmatched and dearly missed.
Teresa is survived by family members Husband Michael J. Beebe,
Daughter, Kathryn Lewis (John), Margaret Wendel (Bud), Sarah
Beebe (Daniel), and Jennifer Durbin (Dave). She was a proud and
doting grandmother to six grandchildren Michael, Emily, Melanie,
Aulani, William, and Brianna.
The Beebe family would like to thank the amazing staff at Tampa
General Hospital for going the extra mile to care for Teresa. Special
thanks to Dr. Patel and Dr. Poojary for overseeing her transplant and
her clinical team too for the support after transplant. Also, to all the
nurses that cared for her pretransplant and post-transplant. You all
made her final months more bearable, and we appreciate all you do.
