Sylvia Jean Chapman, 57, born in Newport News, VA, joined her father in heaven on April 14, 2013. Sylvia was a graduate of Nova Southeastern University and a lifetime member of the Church of the Brethren. Sylvia taught Healing Through Art to cancer patients. She is survived by her mother, Mary; children, Christopher( Dawn) and Denise ( Shawn); grandchildren, Madison, Jacob and Alycea; brothers Larry (Linda), Steve and Ken(Linda)and extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held for family & friends on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 10:00 am at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home.
