Wood, Sylvia Elaine, 61, of Tampa, passed away on February 4, 2008. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio in 1946. She was a longtime resident of Tampa. Sylvia lived a full life and enjoyed her work as an office manager in the History Department at USF, where she worked since 1980. She was a member of First Christian Church of Tampa since 1989 where she served as a Chairman of Elders, a Member of the Choir and a Sunday School Teacher. She is survived by her loving family, sons, James (Elizabeth) Wood, Jr. of Riverview, FL and Ken Wood of Temple Terrace, FL; brothers, Fred Froggett, of Hubbard, OH and Frank Froggett of Temple Terrace, FL; Renee (Larry) Moye of Lutz, FL and Carol (Richard) Barth of Hubbard, OH, and she had a special devotion to her granddaughter, Kayla Wood. She is also survived by her former husband, James Wood, Sr. There will be a Celebration of Sylvia's Life on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church of Tampa, 350 Hyde Park Ave, Tampa.
