Chapnerkar, Sushila Vasant, 81 passed away peacefully at her home on May 8, 2013. Sushila is survived by her loving husband, Vasant; grateful children: Sheila and Dane Boyington, Asha and Shekhar Vaidya, Sudhir and Lisa Chapnerkar; beloved grandchildren: Priya, Nisha, Poonam, Kalpana and Dinesh. Sushila was highly accomplished and educated as a lawyer when she came to the US on her own in 1956, when very few Indian women did. Instead of pursuing her own career, she stayed home and raised her children and created a happy home. She was known in her community as "Mother India". She loved to volunteer to help others, entertain, share her culture, tell jokes and simply enjoy life. She was an avid Florida Gator fan and enjoyed attending the football games each year with her husband. What she loved most was her family and they loved her more than she will ever know. A Memorial service will be held 3 pm, Friday, May 10th, at Serenity Meadows, 6919 Providence Rd, Riverview, FL. The family will receive guests from 2:30-3pm.
