WARONICKI, Susan Jean, 59,
was embraced by our Lord on Friday, March 2, 2007.
Susan was born in Fairmont, West Virginia to
William H. and Bonnie Jean (McCray) Ullom.
A loving mother, grandmother and devoted wife, Susan leaves behind
her high school sweetheart and husband of 36 years, Ted,
three beautiful daughters,
Cara Waronicki,
Jacklyn (Charles) Thomas and
Holly (Andrew) Sullivan, and
two precious grandchildren, Hailey and Tyler.
She will also be missed by her brothers,
Bill and John Bruce Ullom, the rest of the
Waronicki, Ullom and McCray families and
her many, many friends.
She enjoyed traveling with Ted to many places during his
military career.
Susan was a Registered Nurse and worked several different
jobs in the nursing field serving others.
She was multi-talented and at various times she worked
as a merchandiser, dental assistant, middle school
media assistant and office manager for two defense
contracting corporations. Susan was diagnosed with
breast cancer over ten years ago, was successfully treated
and enjoyed over seven years cancer free before the disease
reoccurred. Susan fought that insidious disease for three
hard years before she succumbed.
Quick to laugh, and a wit that nearly matched her husband's,
Susan was an easy friend and delightful companion.
She loved to walk and be with her family and friends. Her passing
is met with the greatest of sorrow. But the memories of her far too
short life will bring smiles, laughter and
comfort to all that knew her for many years to come.
Susan and Ted were Episcopalians, a faith they both enjoyed.
A Celebration of Susan's life will be held Saturday, March 10, 2007 at
4:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home
with a gathering of friends and family one hour prior
to the service. Donations may be made in memory of Susan to
American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
