Obituary

Susan Migliardi, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and caregiver, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, at the age of 89 in Riverview, Florida.

Born on April 16, 1937 to Eugene and Iola Manzo, and raised in Brooklyn, New York, she dedicated her early career to nursing and served as Head Surgical Nurse at Queens General Hospital. It was there that she met the love of her life, Dr. Joseph Migliardi, during his medical residency. The couple married on April 8, 1961 and devoted herself full-time to raising her family, becoming a stay-at-home mother whose greatest joy was caring for those she loved. She dedicated her life to her four children, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, creating a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering support that will endure for generations.

Family was the center of her world. She cherished time spent during family gatherings filled with laughter, games, and treasured memories. Whether around the dining room table playing cards and board games or simply enjoying one another's company, she found her greatest happiness in bringing her family together and creating meaningful moments that will be remembered for years to come.

She spent most of her married life in Mendham, New Jersey, before relocating to Tampa, Florida, in 1994. She later made her home in Riverview, Florida, where she resided until her passing.

She is survived by her brother, Eugene Manzo (Priscilla); her children, Dr. Robert Migliardi (Stephanie), Linda Iarussi (Mauro), Diana Cassels (JR), and Ellen James; her grandchildren, Benjamin Fritzsche (Jessica), Anthony Iarussi (fiancé Ellie), Kelsey Hardy (Trenton), Dr. Andrew Migliardi (Maddy), and Alexa Uanis (Adam); and her three beloved great-grandchildren, Ezra Migliardi, Margot Fritzsche and Lucy Migliardi.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Joseph Migliardi; her twin sister, Myrna Parker; her granddaughter, Rachel Migliardi and son-in-law, Bob James.

She will be remembered for her compassion, devotion to family, generous spirit, and the joy she found in sharing life's simple pleasures with those she loved. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
