Sudhir Kumar Gupta (1943-2025)

Sudhir was born on August 15, 1943, and died peacefully on June 19, 2025. Sudhir was the eldest brother and he was always a foundation for the family. Born in Patiala, India, he arrived to the United States as an ambitious and optimistic 24 year old. He finished his Masters in Mechanical Engineering at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He retired from General Motors after 36 years of fulfilling his dream to be a part of the automotive world.

If you knew him, you knew that he loved to travel. He loved playing racquetball. And he loved good BBQ. But most of all, he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Vijaya: four children, Sabrina, Mona, Reena & Ashwin; 7 grand kids Damian, Elena, Sohan, Sean, Sanjay, Bradley & Alexa; and his younger brother, Raghubir.
