Obituary

Stuart Alvin Therien SR, "Poppy", 90, of Sun City Center passed away October 1st, 2022. Born in Irvington, New Jersey and raised in Newark, New Jersey. After school, Stuart joined the US Army where he served in Korea. Stuart would go on to meet the love of his life, Lois, who he married and shared a lifetime of love and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents Simeon and Viola Therien; siblings Merrill, Ronald, and Janet; and his loving wife Lois Therien. Stuart is survived by his brother Robert; his children Susan & Bob Trott, Stuart & Carole Therien, William & Pat Therien, and Robin and Peter Perez; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Stuart was a very outgoing, friendly, and caring person. He lit up the room with his laugh and smile. He loved square dancing and traveling with Lois. He loved his family, very much, and in his children's younger years he served as a Boy Scout leader. His laugh and charm will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
