Steven "Steve" M. Hurner 70 of Brandon, Florida passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at home under the care of hospice. Steve retired as a Manager with Tampa Electric Company with 47 years of loyal service. Steve was a member of St. Andrews Methodist Church, and was a volunteer with the men's work group. He is a Georgia Tech graduate and a volunteer at ECHO. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Kathleen; daughter Lindsey and her husband Jason; son Ty and his wife Jesell; brother Tim; and three grandchildren, Brady, Gray, and Presley. Services will be private and entrusted to Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. Contributions in memory of Steve are requested to the Alzheimer's Association.
