Phillips, Steve J. Jr., 73, of Seffner, FL passed away on August 9, 2011. Born on July 9, 1938 in Carolina, WV. Survivors are wife of 42 years, Joan Carole Adkins Phillips; son, Derek James Phillips; father, Steve Phillips; brothers, Mike Phillips (Francie), Richard Yost (Cindy); sister, Wanda (David) Gutierrez. After 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, Steve worked for IBM, owned several businesses and was a business consultant. After retiring in 1999, Steve was an avid poker player at the Hard Rock. His last wish is to be in heaven where he and Joanie can laugh together again some day. A service was previously held for the immediate family.
