Nix, Simeon Aaron, 47, went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2008. Simeon served as the Pastor of Music and Worship at Bell Shoals Baptist Church for 13 years. He graduated with a Master of Church Music in 1986 from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and received a Bachelors of Arts in 1982 from Mississippi College. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing and boating, but Simeon's greatest love was his family and serving others. Left to cherish their memories are his loving family, wife, Beth, of 22 years; son, Sterling; daughter, Bre'Ana. His parents, Willis and Iva Burgess of Pearl, MS; sister, Patricia (Bob) Dalton of Pearl, MS; brothers, Edward Nix of Hawaii, and Freddy Bloss of New Jersey; sisters, Mindy N. Sullivan of California, Linda M. Nix, Julia D. Krug, Dill Nelson, and Jeannette Pepe all of New Jersey. There will be a Celebration of Simeon's Life on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Bell Shoals Baptist Church, 2102 Bell Shoals Rd. Brandon, FL 33511, the doors will be open at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Bell Shoals Baptist Church Greater Glory Building Fund.
