Oliva, Shirley E., 72, went peacefully home, September 28, 2008. A life long resident of Tampa she is loved and will be missed by her son, Gary M. Gerhard of Tampa; daughters, Laura (Kenneth) Sapp of Tampa, and Karen (Robert) Rust of Garland, TX; four grandchildren, Kenny Sapp, Marissa Tull, Nicholas Gerhard, and Miranda Tull; and great grandchildren Briaunna and Makenzee Herndon. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and caring friends. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Felicia Nicole Gerhard of Riverview, and brother, William C. Lynch of Goosecreek, SC. A special thanks and the families' gratitude go to her long time friend Millie Mitchell and the work of the Sun City LifePath Hospice Green Team and Visiting Angels Home Care Service. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but all will remember "she did it her way". A Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior.
