In loving memory of Shawn Christopher Sills who lit up every room he entered and captured every heart he encountered. He was born on August 18, 1982 in Tampa, FL and passed away on January 19, 2026. Shawn started elementary school at Riverview Elementary School when he was 1 year old. He graduated from Riverview High School in 2000, where he was voted most memorable by his graduating senior class. Shawn went on to attend Hillsborough Community College.
Shawn worked at Lowe's in Brandon where he put a smile on everyone's face, he met. Shawn was elected Gran Marshall for Sheriff Gee's office, where he also volunteered and dedicated a lot of his time.
Shawn had plenty of passions, some included fishing, grilling, cooking/baking, sitting by the fire, watching movies, listening to music, and singing karaoke. Shawn loved learning new things like stock and Homeopathy.
Shawn was a very outgoing person and never met a stranger that he didn't make a friend. He was always smiling and the life of the party. Shawn was a giver, a helper, and the epitome of a true friend. What you see is what you got, which was a big heart and a big pure soul. He loved all people. Shawn was a Christian and loved talking about his faith in God.
Shawn was preceded in death by his grand grandmother, Louise Johnson and grandfather, Buck Howell, family; Sam Wyche, uncle Buddy, aunt Sissy and uncle John, and cousins; Clint, Kelly and Tiffany.
Shawn leaves to cherish his memory, his parents; Kevin and Darilyn, brother and sister-in-law; Cory and Marie, nephews; Ethan and Luke, and niece; Bella, maternal grandparents; Mary Jo Howell and paternal grandfather; Don and Ileene Bodie, aunts and uncles; Larry and Tina Howell, Don and Debbie Bodie, Debby and Jeff Schinkle and Denise Bodie, Shawn also leaves behind many cousins and many special friends.
A message from the family:
We want to extend our sincerest gratitude to the wonderful nurses who were by our side caring for Shawn, comforting and consoling us afterwards. A special blessing they are! Our many friends who were by our side, in prayer, in person, text or call. We are so blessed to be loved by so many! Special thanks to all his teachers that worked so hard for us.
Shawn was a gift to this earth and all who knew him.
