Scott D. Smith, 53, of Riverview, FL and Cocoa, FL, passed away on May 31, 2019. Scott was a member of the Kadampa Meditation Center Florida in Sarasota. He enjoyed meditation, participating in Buddhist retreats, and traveling to different locations. He had a caring heart and enjoyed helping the people in his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, The Reverend Dr Richard C Smith and Eddie Lee Smith (nee Embry). Scott is survived by his loving family, wife of 17 years, Meriam; son, Damian; brothers, Mark, Bruce (Jill), and Brian (Rosa); 6 nephews and 1 niece. There will be a visitation on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm.
