Obituary

A Poem,
Your Hug Meant the World
Nobody else held me so tight
Or made me feel so right
No one's eyes shined so bright with love
As my mom, who is now high above.
- Tamsin Butler
The world lost a beloved mother, Sarah Elizabeth Rogers, on April 12, 2023. Sarah battled multiple myeloma, but it never stopped her from giving out the best hugs and smiles, nor did cancer change her outlook on life. She continued to share her faith and love of Jesus to everyone she met. She passed away surrounded by her family. Sarah's parents are the late Reverend Amos James and Clara Doyle James.
Always a child willing to help her siblings and parents in any way she could, she would give her last. For Sarah, sacrifice was a way of life, putting others ahead of her own self. She enlisted in the United States Army and served with honor. While serving she met her future husband Sergeant Herman Rogers. Retiring from the Army with an honorable discharge they married and started their own family.
Sarah is survived by her three sons Herman Carlos Rogers, Azariah Reinaldo Rogers, Alonzo Ezra Rogers, and grandchildren Isabella Rogers, Angelina Rogers, and Ezra Rogers.
Friends are invited to celebrate with us as we honor her as Mom, Sister, Auntie, Friend, and Queen.
