Obituary

Sarah Snider LeStrange, born October 3, 1961, entered into God's eternal peace and presence on November 13, 2016, after being diagnosed with Stage IV cancer three years ago. Sarah's hope during her illness was that it would enable her and all the people in her life to constantly strive for holiness by growing closer to Christ, never blaming Him for any suffering endured. With all her love, she showed us the way. Her strength and kindness forever touched the hearts and souls of many. Those who knew Sarah quickly realized what a faithful servant and compassionate child of God she was. She was predeceased by her father, Wendell W. Snider, Jr.. She is survived by her mother, Eilene R. Thompson; her children, Alexandria (Rob) Marrow, Grant, Francesca, Wesley, and Spencer; her husband, Brian; her sisters, Carol (Eric) Homeister and Susan Honstein; her brothers, John and David Snider; along with multiple nieces and nephews. Sarah graduated from Lake Forest (IL) High School and from Florida State University with a degree in dietetics. After completing an internship at the Yale New Haven (CT) Hospital, she earned a Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas in Austin. Sarah, Brian, and their children were blessed with wonderful assignments in the United States Air Force to include the following: Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal; RAF Lakenheath, England; USAF Academy, Colorado; Ramstein Air Base, Germany; and MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. A wake for Sarah will occur at the Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Riverview, Florida, on Sunday, November 20, 2016, from 2 - 4 pm.
