Botsford, Sarah Obera Gordon died peacefully on October 11, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Decatur, Alabama to Vance and Sarah Gordon, she was a dignified southern lady from her first day to her last. Sarah loved to read and learn new things and encouraged her grandchildren to further their education. She was devoted in life to the people she loved, especially her husband Charles. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Lori Botsford Callahan, and is survived by Charles, her brother Vance Gordon, and her grandchildren, Bonnie and Ryan Callahan. Viewing will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 17, 2011 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 11:00 am at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
