Demmer, Sara, 82, passed away on May 22, 2016. Sara (Sally) was born in Michigan but grew up in Ohio and attended The Ohio State University, where she met the love of her life, Frank Demmer. Sara was an elementary school teacher in Kettering, Ohio for many years and even after her retirement from the school system, continued teaching preschool at Pocketful of Promises Daycare in Bellbrook. She loved traveling to Oregon to visit family, and loved going to the mountains and the coast while there. Sara enjoyed spending time with friends and family, baking, gardening and reading anything by Tom Clancy or John Grisham. In 2003, she and Frank moved to Riverview, FL to be close to their daughter. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Demmer. Sara is survived by her loving family, daughter, Kristi Humphrey and her husband Gregory; brother, David Pond; sister, Elinor Koelling and her husband John; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:00 am at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Riverview, FL. The family will greet guests starting at 9:15 am.
