Vance, Sandra Shannon, 76, of Brandon passed away on April 5, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Spike Vance of nearly 23 years and brother, Harold Shoffeitt. She has four children including son Gary Shannon, daughter Teena Runnels (Warren), stepdaughter Alison Compton (Dean) and stepdaughter Pam Lee (Mike). Shared family of 7 grandchildren including Jeramy Compton (Monica), Michael Lee, Joshua Shannon (Christina), Sambo Lee (Erin), Matthew Compton, Taryn Runnels and Emilee Runnels. Shared Great-grandchildren of 5 including Aniah, Jayden, Sienna, Braden and Henry. She was predeceased by her first husband Harry Shannon, son Troy Shannon, stepdaughter Linda Vance and grandson Corey Todd Shannon. Sandy worked as a pre-school teacher at First United Methodist Church in Brandon for 12 years. And she was the smiling face that greeted patients at the front desk of Brandon Dental Care for 28 years. She will be missed by her kind and gentle spirit and always putting others first. A Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Brandon (New Hope UMC) on April 16th at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to your favorite charity.
