Obituary

Sam (Salvatore) Bisceglio passed away on January 28, 2018.  A Catholic Eucharistic Minister, premier painter, US Army Veteran, once a licensed pilot and aircraft mechanic, this unsung golf legend was born in 1929 to Italian immigrant parents, Giacomo and Rosina Bisceglio, in the beautiful Ocean State of Rhode Island. In 1949 he married Mary Claire Grimley with whom he shared a life of love and memories, for nearly 70 years, along with their two sons, Ronald and Kenneth.

Sam was both outgoing and generous, and was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren, his beloved golf game, and his favorite team, the New York Yankees. He and Claire enjoyed travelling together throughout the United States and Europe, and doting upon their four adoring grandchildren. He lived by example, which made his lifestyle of faithfulness contagious. His example taught his family to live a life filled with love, and they will strive to continue his legacy, as they pray for his immortal soul.

Spiritually and physically active until the end of his life, Sam attended Catholic Mass every Sunday, and cherished the time he spent playing golf and cribbage every week with his friends. On Sunday, January 28 th , 2018, Sam passed away surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Mary Claire, his son Ron and his wife Carol, his son Ken and his wife Joanna, their four children, Kateri, Brielle, Luke and Julia, his youngest brother Jackie Bisceglio and his family, his sister-in-law Ruth Day, and a beautiful group of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Rest in peace Sam, heaven is richer with your presence. Please pray for us, as we pray for your eternal rest.
