CARRUBBA, Salvatore, 81 of Sun City Center passed away on Friday, September 26, 2008 . After a long career in the jewelry industry in New York , Salvatore moved to the area 10 years ago from Brooklyn and was Catholic by faith. He was a loving husband, father Nonno, Padrino and friend. He was a fan of music and soccer, enjoyed fishing and photography and spending time with his family. Born in Sicily , his gusto for good food was legendary. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during WW II. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Elvira. He is survived by his loving son, Jose Carrubba, daughters Gloria Maria and Belen Maria and 2 grandchildren.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home.
