Ruth Morrison Stallings, age 83, of Valrico Florida passed away on Monday March 18th, 2024.

Ruth was born on May 30th, 1940 in Washington, D.C. to Eunice and Claude Alexander Morrison. She graduated from Suitland High School and attended Strayer Business School. She had a very successful career at the Naval Oceanography Office and the Naval Research Laboratory as an Executive Administrative Assistant.

Ruth was married to William H Stallings III (Bill) on June 4th, 1960. Ruth met Bill in her junior year of high school. They settled in Forestville, Maryland and bought their first home in 1968. In 1976, they built a new home and moved to Sunderland in Calvert County Maryland where they raised their 2 children Gregory Bruce and Deborah Lynn.

After retirement the family moved to the Tampa Florida area and lived in River Hills Golf and Country Club where she enjoyed many activities including caring for her Golden Retrievers, supporting her grandchildren, and playing golf. She was a member of the "nine holers", Red Hat Society, Riverhills ladies "Lunch Bunch", and was an active member of the Brandon Service League.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Deborah Lynn and brother William Alexander Morrison, Sister-in-law Jean Lorriane Morrison, Niece Susan Blanchard (Morrison), and parents Eunice and Claude Morrison.

Ruth is survived by her husband William of 63 years, son Gregory and his wife Julie and 4 grandsons Kyle Alexander, Colin James, Christopher Bruce, and Cole Gregory and nephew Robert Morrison.

Her loved ones will remember her kindness, how she always saw the good in people, and supported her friends and family. A truly beautiful lady.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday April 11th, 2024 from 12:00-3:00PM at Riverhills Country Club, 3943 New River Hills Parkway, Valrico, FL 33569.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donation to Joshua's House for Golden Retriever Rescue, Inc in Lecanto, FL. Everyone that knows Ruth knows she loved her golden's and was very supportive of this rescue.
