Obituary

Folkersen Ruth Evyonne of Apollo Beach passed away September 19, 2020. Best known as Evyonne; she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Earlier in life she owned an art gallery and traded works internationally including auctions at Sothbys in New York; she also made a donation of a work of art to the Smithsonian Institute, which was later seen on TV as Barbara Bush did a televised tour of the White House. After moving to Florida she joined her husband's business and became the CFO of Deerhurst Lakes Partnership. After retiring and moving to Apollo Beach she did volunteer work with the Kiwanis Southshore Club, and also volunteered at the Ruskin Elementary School, managing the food distribution facility. She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Leonard and Jim; and is survived by her loving family, Henry, husband of 62 years, children Jeffrey (Wendi) and Suzanne (Christopher), as well as her sisters Janet  (Gregory Rendall,) and Judi (Bill Lowry), her grandchildren, Naomi, Lilith, Koda, Arielle, Seth (Krystal), Jacqueline, Blake (Megan) and Kimberly (Marshall) as well as great-grandchildren, Juliette and Savannah. Evyonne was a member of Holy Innocents Episcopal Church.
