Golding, Rose Evelyn, 85, daughter of Ralph O. and Amalia Davies, passed away on
Thursday, August 18, 2011. Mrs. Golding was a local resident since 1985 after moving here from Somerset, NJ. She received her Registered Nursing Degree from Jersey City Medical Center and earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from Trenton State College. She worked as a private-duty nurse for many years and School Nurse at Hillcrest Elementary School until her retirement. She served on the Board of Directors of the Brandon Family YMCA for several years and was a Red Hatter. She read avidly, travelled the world, pursued continuing education and mastered The NY Times crossword puzzle section. She is survived by her son, Dr. James (Susan) Golding, daughters, Eileen (Howard) Hanson and Adrienne (Stanley) Martin; five grandchildren, Adriana Golding, Aaron Golding, Alicia Romeo, David Hanson and Christopher Martin; five great-grandchildren, Lauren Romeo, Hannah Hanson, James Hanson, Connor Brozak and Riley Martin. Mrs. Golding was pre-deceased by her husband, James W. Golding, sister, Dorothy Galayda, and grandson, Brian Martin. She leaves behind many cherished friends. A memorial service has been scheduled for Monday, August 22, 2011, at 11:00am at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
