Obituary

Rosa Julia Quinones de Loyola

Born on June 9, 1947, in the humble town of Peñuelas, Puerto Rico and passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends on November 19, 2019 in Riverview FL.

She was the daughter of Mr. Pedro Majin Quiñones and Mrs. Inés Velázquez. She is survived by her siblings; Luis Antonio (Junior), Ángel Miguel, Pedro Luis, Ángela, Luis Enrique, Francisco, Samuel, Ignacio, Petra, Pedro Antonio, Felicita, Manuel, Oscar and José Ángel (Cheo).

On September 8, 1967, she married José Ángel Loyola, and they raised four children; José Enrique, Deborah Nanneth, Rachel Minnete and Christine Annette. Her dear grandchildren are: Karla Marie and Jianna Marie Loyola, Jaden Lemar and Janaya Inés Cover, Keyla Lynette and Dylan Joel Hernández and lastly, Aiyanna Angelise Hartzog.

At the end of the 60s, there was a great spiritual need in the south of the island of Puerto Rico. Luis and Iris Armstrong, who served as special pioneers in the city of Peñuelas, began studying the Bible with Rosa. Rosa embraced the bible truth promptly, dedicating herself to Jehovah and symbolizing that dedication in baptism on December 1970. Despite the opposition she received, she always stood firm and made sure to raise her four children in the truth.

She began her full-time career as a regular pioneer in 1985 until her death. During her Christian career, Rosa allowed herself to be used as an essential instrument to make the bible truth known to many people who served as "letters of recommendation" before her beloved God Jehovah. This faithful ministry was carried out in her native Puerto Rico, and then when she relocated to New York, South Carolina and Florida. Rosa was and will be a great example of what it means to be a true Christian.

During the last years of her life, she had to struggle with many mishaps and physical challenges, but her spiritual strength allowed her to remain faithful and firm until the end. She always "kept her eye on the prize" and on the wonderful hope of a future with no "mourning nor outcry nor pain".

The funeral service will be held this Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 4:00 pm at:
