Ronald Lee Nichols, age 71, of Jennings, FL passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 29, 2016. The Tampa, FL native was a longtime resident of Riverview with a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in law enforcement with the Tampa Police Department and Florida Department of Corrections. Upon retirement he found his little piece of heaven in a quiet corner of Jennings, FL on the Florida-Georgia line. Ronnie is survived by his two daughters, Michele Nichols and Melia Nichols, both Riverview, FL; three brothers, Larry Bunkley of Jennings, FL, Reverend Roger Bunkley of Texas and Dr. Rick Bunkley Th.D of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Grayson and Riley. Per Ronald's wishes he was cremated. Memorial services will be held in Riverview on January 14, 2017 at 11:00 am at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home with honors by the FLDOC.
